What is Halfords CycleCare?

CycleCare plans entitle you to exclusive benefits, from unlimited puncture repairs to money off bike accessories, parts, servicing, and bike insurance.

We have a CycleCare plan to suit every type of cyclist, whether you’re an infrequent fair-weather rider or a high-mileage daily commuter.

CycleCare plans are the best way to access the greatest value for money when looking after your bike, with savings of over 60% across our plans (*based on all benefits redeemed and average customer spend). For a one-off payment, you can access benefits over 1 year or unlock even greater savings by taking out a plan over 3 years.

We have 3 main plan options for riders to choose from depending on how much you cycle with Classic CycleCareEnhanced CycleCare and Premium CycleCare.

We also have specific e-mobility care plans with our Premium E-Bike CycleCare and our E-ScooterCare.

Can anyone buy a CycleCare plan?

Yes, anyone can buy a CycleCare or E-ScooterCare plan. It doesn’t matter where you purchased your bike or e-scooter, or what brand it is. 

We do reserve the right not to sell a CycleCare plan in some rare instances, for example, if your bike is beyond repair and unsafe. See our T&Cs here for our eligibility criteria.

E-bikes - We can complete CycleCare related repairs and servicing on all e-bikes subject to parts availability & where the work does not interfere with the electrics.

We can complete software and/or firmware upgrades on an extensive list of e-bike brands and systems subject to availability. For the full list see our T&Cs here.

Can I buy a CycleCare plan on Halfords.com?

Yes, but you’ll need to go into the store with your post purchase email to activate your plan. The store colleague will ask you to confirm your contact details and the make, model, colour, and frame size of your bike. It’s at this point your 1 or 3-year plan will start.

When activating your CycleCare plan in-store, we recommend you also have a FREE e-bike health check to make sure everything’s working as it should. You can also book a FREE e-bike health check online when completing your CycleCare purchase here.

Can I buy a CycleCare plan in-store? 

Yes. You can buy a CycleCare plan in-store. If you haven’t got your bike with you, you’ll need to confirm the make, model, colour, and frame size of your bike, as well as your contact details.

Which CycleCare plan is right for me?

We have CycleCare plans to suit every type of cyclist, whether you’re an infrequent fair-weather rider or a high-mileage daily commuter.

Classic CycleCare is right for you if you ride only on a few occasions over the summer when the weather is nice. This plan is also perfect for young kid’s bikes. No matter how little you ride, punctures are inevitable at some point so having a protection plan in place will help to keep you moving. Plus, you’ll get 10% off all your bike accessories and essentials like helmets and locks. Some accessories like stabilisers can be difficult to fit, so we can handle the hard work and fit, adjust, and ensure they’re safe to ride. Enhanced CycleCare is right for you if you ride more regularly and often enjoy getting out over the summer months. It’s perfect for families and especially for older children’s bikes that go further and get used more often. Once you start to use your bike more than just a few times over the summer, your bike will need to be serviced to keep it running smoothly, keep you safe, and help prevent any expensive repairs further down the line. This plan gives you the benefits of our Classic plan, but with a Silver service (our most popular service) at half price, and a brakes and gears adjustment for the interim. Premium CycleCare is right for you if you’re a keen cyclist or a regular commuter that relies on your bike and wants it well-maintained and running smoothly. When you ride frequently and are covering more mileage, it’s essential to regularly have your bike checked and serviced. This plan gives you the benefits of our Enhanced plan, but you can choose whether your bike needs a half price Silver service or if it requires a more thorough inspection with money off our Gold service. You can also take advantage of unlimited puncture repairs and brakes and gears adjustments which become more necessary the more you ride. You also get greater savings on bike accessories and bike parts, plus discounted bike insurance to help keep all your cycling costs to a minimum. E-bikes

How do I redeem my CycleCare benefits?

You can redeem your benefits in-store. Once at your chosen store, please provide your full contact details to store colleagues, who will check and confirm which CycleCare plan you have so you can redeem your benefits. We will always try to complete CycleCare jobs straight away and this is often the case for more simple jobs like puncture repairs and brake/gear adjustments. If the store is particularly busy your bike may need to be booked in at a later date. This is more common with silver and gold service packages.

Premium CycleCare bike insurance discount is not redeemable in-store. A discount link is emailed to you 30 days post purchase of your Premium CycleCare plan.

Your discount can be used on the following parts. In addition to bike and e-scooter component parts, you can also save on bike cleaning and consumable products, bike tools and bike workshop stands to help keep your maintenance costs to a minimum.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

No, Once your plan has started, customers cannot move between the different types of CycleCare plans available.

CycleCare plans are purchased upfront in a one-off payment enabling you to access benefits over the term of the plan. Once your plan has ended, you can then choose to change the level of your plan when you renew.

Can I cancel my CycleCare plan?

Provided you have not used any of the benefits during any Cooling-Off Period, you can cancel your CycleCare Plan and receive a refund. Please read our full T&Cs here before contacting the Contact Centre.

What if I have an old CycleCare plan?

We will continue to support all our customers who have one of our old CycleCare packages. All previous benefits will continue for the duration of your plan.
