Please note: that trade pricing is not visible in store. To see the price of an item, simply create an online account here and add your Trade Card number. Alternatively, ask a colleague in store to find out the trade price.

How to apply for a Halfords trade card

There are two ways to apply for a Halfords Trade Card. You can apply online by visiting our Trade Card Hub here, or you can apply in any Halfords store. You’ll need to provide photographic identification with your application as well as one or more forms of the following evidence to prove your membership of an eligible trade:

  • Payslip from employer
  • Copy of City & Guilds or NVQ qualification
  • College enrolment certificate
  • Business card or letterhead
  • Local newspaper ad
  • Local phone directory entry
Trade Card Online

You can also register your Trade Card online to be able to see trade prices as well as ordering to collect in store and receiving invoices by email.

Step 1: Register and apply online
Register for an account at Halfords.com. If you’ve already got an account, you can sign in to your existing one and use this. Next, apply for your Trade Card online by filling in your details.

Step 2: Pick up your card in store
Once you’ve applied online, head to your local store with your proof of trade. They’ll give you your Trade Card!

Step 3: Activate your card
Add your Trade Card number to your account at Halfords.com. Then, you’ll be able to see trade prices including and excluding VAT online! You’ll also receive invoices for trade purchases.

Part of a group of 20 technicians or more?

If you work in a garage/motor vehicle workshop and you and your colleagues meet the qualifying criteria above then you can arrange a visit from a trade manager who will issue your cards. Please only use this voicemail number for a workshop visit of 20+ technicians. Unfortunately, we're unable to respond to any other enquiries via this messaging service.

Simply call 01527 513384 and leave a message - you'll then be contacted within 10 working days to discuss a suitable time for us to come and visit you.

What proof of trade do I need? 

If you’ve lost your Trade Card, simply pop into your local Halfords along with proof of your identity and one or more forms of evidence that you’re a member of an eligible trade. We’ll be able to arrange to send out a new Trade Card. If you’ve set up an online account, you’ll need to update your details with your new Trade Card number, which you can do by clicking here.

I've lost my Trade Card. What do I do?

Shopping online with Halfords Trade Card

To shop online with Halfords Trade Card, simply login to your Halfords account and add your Trade Card number. You can do that by clicking here. Then, you’ll be able to access exclusive trade prices online. If you don’t have a Halfords account, you'll need to create a new account and add your Trade Card number to enjoy the benefits.

Once you’re logged into your Halfords account and have added your Trade Card, you’ll also be able to use our online services such as Click & Collect and Home/Work Delivery to buy goods at trade prices!

That’s not all - while you’re logged in, you’ll be shown trade prices with and without VAT, and we’ll send you invoices for your trade purchases to help with record keeping.
