Survey promotion terms and conditions

  1. This promotion (the “Promotion”) is open to all persons aged 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom, including employees, and their immediate families, of the Promoter, their associated companies, agents, agencies and anyone else professionally connected with the Promotion.
  2. Entry into the Promotion is online through completion of an online survey accessed via a link provided to participants via email (the "Email"). Participants must complete the survey and enter their full name and email address. Only one entry per person will be accepted.
  3. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and, save as set out below, will not be disclosed to a third party or outside of the Halfords Group without the entrant’s prior consent. The Promoter’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use is available on our website. You can opt-out of marketing messages at any time by following the instructions in any marketing we send you.
  4. The Promoter will share entrants’ name, email address and survey responses with Mindmover Limited, trading as QuMind, for the purpose of collating and analysing the results of the survey. Mindmover Limited will not use entrants’ data for any other purpose. Mindmover Limited will remove identifying personal data before conducting analysis of survey results.   5. All entries must be received by the Promoter before the Promotion closes on the date specified in the Email (the “Closing Date”). Incomplete, illegal, later or incorrect entries will not be accepted. The Promoter takes no responsibility for entries delayed, incomplete or lost.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. The Promoter may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants from the Promotion if it has any reason to believe that efforts have been made to distort the competitive process or spirit of the Promotion.
  7. By entering the Promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and condition and by the decision of the Promoter in relation to all matters relating to the Promotion, whose decision shall be final. The instructions provided in the survey email form part of these terms and conditions of the Promotion. In the event of a conflict, these terms and conditions take precedence.
  8. Within four (4) weeks of the Closing Date, a winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries by an independent person. Winners will be contacted by email within 48 hours of the draw.
  9. There is one prize per winner. There is one prize of £250.00. The prize winner can elect that this be paid by BACS, a Halfords gift card or a Love2Shop gift card. Depending on the payment method chosen, the prize winner may be required to provide the Promoter with their bank details or postal address.
  10. If a prize winner has not responded to the Promoter within two (2) weeks of the date of first contact, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw the Promotion without further notice to the initial prize winner, who will forfeit the prize. The prize will be delivered to the prize winner within three weeks after the prize winner has responded to the Promoter and provided any necessary additional information.
  11. To obtain the name and county of the winner, please send a SAE to the Promoter.
  12. Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the Promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof. Any such variation or amendment will be notified at the point of entry for the Promotion.
  13. Any expenses incurred by the prize winner in the general use and/or enjoyment of the prize, are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. Neither the Promoter nor agencies involved in this Promotion may be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to the Promotion. The Promoter cannot accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant entering the Promotion or as a result of accepting any prize. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
  14. The Promotion and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.

  16. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
