How can I get my air con recharged?
If you think your air con refrigerant just needs recharging (e.g. it’s still blowing cold, but not as cold as it used to be), you can get it topped up at one of our Halfords garages or via our Halfords Mobile Expert vans.
We also offer a free air con system pressure check at our Halfords stores, to see if your refrigerant levels need to be topped up. If they do, you can book an air con recharge service for an additional fee and our trained specialists will take care of it for you.
The other option is to purchase all the air con essentials from the Halfords store to recharge at home. Our air conditioning recharge kits come with everything you need to just re-gas your air con system, but make sure you check if your car is compatible, and you know what you're doing before you begin. Re-gassing your car's air conditioning can be dangerous, due to the pressurised gases involved, so sometimes it's better to leave it to the professionals at Halfords.
