Here at Halfords, we want to help keep you and your bike on the move, and that’s why we offer our free bike assessment and a huge range of bike servicing options.
Please note: Before carrying out a Gold or Platinum service, we will need to complete a Free Pre-Service Bike Assessment to assess the work needed, identify the correct repair/service and provide a quote. Please click here to book an appointment.
Following this assessment, it is possible we will need to book a second appointment to carry out the work. Our colleagues in-store will advise you of this where applicable and will make necessary arrangements during your health check
Services
Bronze Service
- Wipe down frame, forks and wheels
- Inflate both tyres to correct the pressure
- Lubricate chain
- Adjust gear cable tension
- Check and realign brake pads and calipers
- Adjust brake cable tension
- Tighten handlebar clamp and all handlebar mounted controls
- Tighten both crank arms
- Tighten pedals
- Ensure all accessories are fitted correctly
- Adjust seat post clamp and saddle
Silver Service
- All elements of a bronze service
- True both wheels as required
- Replace inner gear cables
- Replace inner brake cables
Additional £5/€5 eBike add-on available on Silver, Gold and Platinum service which includes; undoing connections, clean apply silicone grease around sealing elements, clean the crank sensor, inspecting battery for visible damage and recharge the battery
Gold Service
- All elements of a silver service
- Chain deep clean or Chain replacement*
- Replace outer brake cables
- Replace outer gear cables
Two of the following essential repairs of your choosing*
- Brake pads fit
- Brake lever fit
- Cassette fit
- Cone adjust
- Disc rotor fit
- Freewheel fit
- Gear hanger fit
- Handlebar tape fit
- Innertube replacement
- Jockey wheel fit
- Left hand crank arm fit

Platinum Service
- All elements of a Gold service
- Full strip down, clean, rebuild, lubricate and adjust (excludes removal of bottom bracket)
- Free fitting on all parts
