How do bike locks work?
There are a number of bike locks available which do different jobs, but the primary aim of all of them is to try and stop would-be thieves in their tracks.
They can immobilise the wheels, making it much more diffcult for a thief to simply mount the bike and ride if off, or they can secure the bike frame to a fixed object which will make the potential thief's task a lot less easy.
There are different types of bike lock, such as D locks or cable locks, and the level of security offered from lock to lock will also differ.
